A check on PowerDirector Premium is displayed when you pay for the app in either monthly or annual payments.I'll have to remember to turn this off as when I'm editing, I don't like distractions. You can multi-task and switch between apps when there is a notification. It's turned off by default because it waste too much of screen space on a device. "Display File Name in Media Library" makes it easy to find the clips you want in the Media Library especially if you have done the due diligence of renaming and numbering them."Open Tool Menu When Selecting an Object in Timeline" can also save time but is cumbersome when you just want to play the video you have edited thus far.I used to turn it before on the PC version but I found that snapping into place saves so much time editing. The "Enable Snap to Clips on Timeline" is a setting I don't tweak. For me it works, but for some it can be a nuisance and you can turn it off right here. The "Continue Playback After Seeking" turned on makes the view screen play even when scrubbing as long as you don't hit the pause button.I don't tweak this on the general settings. The Default Title duration is 5.0 seconds.Hard cuts are the professional's choice but it really depends on the feel you want for your videos. It overlaps two clips and creates animation to easily shift from a scene to another. The Default Transition Duration is set to "1.0 seconds." I don't use transitions that much but there's a variety you can use when editing. This is usually "on" in the PC version but the use of it depends on the context. It makes the images move on a pre-defined setting. The Pan and Zoom or Ken Burns effect is not turned on by default. The default is 5 seconds but I usually go for 8-10 range when editing.
